This Baked Brown Sugar Soy Salmon Fillets recipe brings out the luscious flavors of fresh salmon, enhanced by a harmonious blend of sweet brown sugar, aromatic sesame, and the rich depth of soy. The Ingredients

• 4 Salmon filets

• 1/4 cup brown sugar

• 1/4 cup soy sauce

• 2 tablespoon of sesame oil

• 3 garlic cloves, minced

• 1 teaspoon ginger paste

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 1/2 teaspoon pepper

• garnish with green onions and sesame seeds

The Method

Step 1


Lay the salmon on a baking tray, pat down with paper towel, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.


Step 2


In a small bowl whisk together the  brown sugar, sesame oil,  soy sauce, garlic, ginger paste, salt, and pepper. Marinate Salmon filets and set in fridge for 30 minutes.


Step 3


Place marintaed Salmon filets on a baking tray in a cold oven and bake at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes, depending on how thick filets are. Reserve some of the marinade.


Step 4


5 minutes before Salmon is complete, brush on some of the reserved marinade and broil last 5 minutes. This step can be skipped.


Step 5


Bring salmon out and let rest for 3 to 5 minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.


Notes

1. Serve with warm rice and steamed vegetables.

2. Pairs well with Sauvignon Blanc.
